What We Do

UNDP partners with people at all levels of society to help build nations that can withstand crisis, and drive and sustain the kind of growth that improves the quality of life for everyone. On the ground in 177 countries and territories, we offer global perspective and local insight to help empower lives and build resilient nations.

Our Goals

UNDP aims to enhance the government’s ability to deliver public services to the population in an efficient, effective, equitable and accountable manner, to consolidate a participatory democracy with a responsible civil society and to create an enabling environment for inclusive growth, private sector development and sustainable use of natural resources. UNDP supports Cambodia to achieve the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

Projects and Initiatives

Clearing for Results Phase II

The Clearing for Results-Phase II project intends to bring the national body, the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA), to a higher level. It supports the CMAA’s leadership in implementing the National Mine Action Strategy (NMAS), resulting in resources being allocated to national and local development priorities. The resources will also be used in the enactment of policy frameworks that support increased levels of land released to communities for rural development thereby improving access to economic opportunities and growth. more

Partnership for Gender Equity Phase III

The project built on the achievements made in the previous phases is working to ensure that gender-sensitive policies and plans for Millennium Development Goal acceleration are implemented and make an impact on the status, rights and choices of Cambodian women. more
