The Equity Initiative offers a media and channel: it is a widely acclaimed TV program and a uniquely used platform for government institutions, political parties, multi and bi-lateral partners, donors, civil society and the electorate to exchange and participate in the shaping of the country’s development and its policies. Initially it was launched on the premise of an equitable formula of representation during the 2003 elections. It evolved into an ‘in-between ballot’ information media platform on issues of concern to the electorate. Concretely, the country’s first equitable electoral newscast, the country’s first current affairs TV program and the country’s premier and largest content based documentary database online today.
